“Stari ali lepi”, 1980's vintage charme
I am sitting here at Ulcinjska rivijera enjoying the charme of an “ex” yugoslavia nudist resort. Built in the 1970's it was only accessible via ferry boat with an reservation. Nowadays the have a bridge but kept the charme of the 1980's. That’s basically the whole charisma of this island resort. Time seems to pass veeeeery slowly. At first this seem for us modern people foreign. Nobody invested any money in keeping this place up to date. So is Television in the hotel rooms present but reception is not really working. Markets and shopping sides are totally missing. This let’s people often feel like being exposed to boredom until the realise that’s what is real recreation about. I am myself are sitting on the terrace, watching the sea and the sun go down.
For me, after being on this island for almost 10 years it is hard to imagine to have the rush of modern life back. Where I am exposed to take a daily schedule for 200 days a year and just idle around in 4 weeks a year in vacation. Most property it is what pensioners experiencing as well, a change of rhythm back towards an “unscheduled” lifestyle, like we all had when we've been children.
Fun fact on aside, today is socialist ex yugoslavian “Dan mladosti” - youth day.
I wish especially my younger readers a beautyful stressless day.
